The Jencik household in Penfield, N.Y. has 14 children. Eleven have disabilities ranging from high-functioning autism, Down syndrome, to rare genetic disorders like Cornelia de Lange and Prader-Willi syndrome; ten are adopted. Brittany, the mother of the family, cares for every child round the clock with the support of her husband Barry. As a family, they adopt children who have run out of options or have a low chance of placement.
