Refugees After Resettlement
The Said’s are a Somalian refugee family of twelve living in the city of Rochester, N.Y., resettled in a home in Raines Park. In 2006, with the help of the Ghanian government, the family migrated from Somalia to Uganda after escaping warfare. A bomb hit their home claiming the life of their infant child. After living in Uganda for several years, in April of 2016 they migrated to the United States in seek of further refuge and fortunately were aided by Rochester Refugee Resettlement Inc.
